Crusader Kings II Events

I was one of the main Content Designers on Crusader Kings II. Below you’ll find a few in-game screenshots and Youtube videos depicting some of the events.

Merry Men of [Province_Name]

The Merry Men of [Province_Name] is a long event chain with multiple choices and endings. It is based on Robin Hood and can trigger in any province, which is why the title of the event chain has a variable – [Province_name] that outputs a province name such as Praha for example.Youtube video: Crusader Kings II – The Merry Men of Praha

Gates of Hell

This event chain was inspired by the Darvaza gas crater in Turkmenistan and the goal of the event is to get it to close. To do so, the player gets several options: Will they sacrifice a child, throw stones into it, or give it cattle? Each option has a large chance of success, but should it fail the player can always try another option.

The Hajj

The focus of the DLC Sword of Islam for Crusader Kings II was to make muslims playable and give them specific events. One of those were the event chain for The Hajj – the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca.
